The Sentinels
The Sentinels are a group of human hackers who resist the Remnants and maintain the decentralized mesh network 6h05t.net. The source presents the network as the battlefield and a beacon of hope and resilience.
The Remnants
The Remnants are human/computer hybrids seeking world domination. Their technological advantage supports their control; the notes specifically propose neural control technology that can manipulate others.
Core character roles in the outline
Alex
Alex is the protagonist and leader of the Sentinels. He rejects merging with technology and leads the effort to retain human freedom. His central dilemma is whether to risk an assault to rescue Zoe or negotiate with the Remnants, potentially sacrificing humanity’s future.
Zoe
Zoe is a fellow Sentinel with a shared history and complex relationship with Alex. Her capture during the Remnants’ attack makes the conflict personal. The outline proposes that information she learns while captive helps the Sentinels.
Sam
Sam is Alex’s closest ally and is revealed as a Remnant spy in the mini outline. The betrayal fractures trust within the Sentinels. The expanded outline proposes a confrontation with Sam; redemption is considered separately as an optional subplot, not a settled ending.
Optional character directions
The source brainstorms a remorseful engineer, a sympathetic Remnant, a new Sentinel recruit, a double agent, a former Sentinel returning to the group, and a hidden human society. These are exploratory possibilities, not established characters or events.
